The Consorzio Costa del Sole was founded in 1998 to promote and protect the west Coast of Elba island which includes the towns of Colle d'Orano, Chiessi, Pomonte, Fetovaia, Seccheto and Cavoli.

This area of the island is undoubtedly the most renowned and appreciated one by the tourists that visit the island, and at the same time, it is characterised by an extremely delicate habitat that needs to be valorised and maintained for future generations.

It is on the basis of this consideration that our Consorzio was founded and on which it has been distinguishing itself in the effort to develop an eco-sustainable tourism, to re-discover the old traditions and to valorise the remaining artistic, historical and cultural testimonies on our territory.

The Consorzio Costa del Sole nowadays is composed of about 20 family-run businesses (for the main part hotels) all based within the 15 kilometres of the Costa del Sole.

Within the Consorzio there are also some businesses of relevant importance that operate on our territory such as Il Viottolo (Excursion agency), the winery Terre del Granito, the perfume producer Acqua dell'Elba and Hydra (Institute for the marine science based on Fetovaia).
